Paul Calvert, PT - Owner, Physical Therapist and Clinical Director

Paul Calvert, PT is the owner and clinical director at Lakeside Physical Therapy. Paul pursued a career in physical therapy following his service in the U.S. Marine Corp. He attended WVU School of physical therapy, and graduated Summa Cum Laude in 1994. Over the last 24 years, Paul has specialized in manual therapy techniques, and attended training around the country and Australia. His mission has always been patient-centered practice. And he hopes to continue this path in a tight knit family practice that focuses on you and your goals. Paul is well known in the community for superior results. He would love to assist you in returning to the activities that you enjoy most.

Kari Calvert, PT, MPT - Owner, Physical Therapist & Administrator

Kari Calvert, PT, MPT attended Gannon University where she completed her master’s degree in Physical Therapy and graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1998. She has worked in a variety of settings over the last 20 years, but has a true passion for the pediatric population. Kari provides early intervention physical therapy services through the WV Birth to Three programs. She sees pediatric clients at the office as time allows. Kari has been an adjunct professor for WVU School of Medicine PT Program. There she helps teach pediatrics courses. She too has attended training around the country to specialize in pediatrics. Kari is well known in the community for great results. Paul and Kari also have three children (Cody, Hannah, and Preston) that keep them very busy.

Kassandra Tennant, Physical Therapist Assistant

Kassandra joined Lakeside after her 2017 graduation from Pierpont Community and Technical College. She loves helping patients recover from injury and return to the activities that they enjoy. In her free time, she likes to read, spend time with her family, and go on hikes with her dogs.

Amy McCabe, Office Manager

Amy joined Lakeside in 2018 as our new office manager. She has focused her career in the Medical/ Surgical Customer service and Management fields with several local facilities. She thinks that the best part of her job at Lakeside is meeting all the new people and helping them along their journey to wellness. Amy has been married for 20 years and has two wonderful boys. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and dog.

Drake Vanscoy, Exercise Physiologist & Fitness Manager

Drake is an Exercise Physiology graduate from West Virginia University that joined the Lakeside family in 2018. He loves working with Lakeside’s patients and fitness member to help them achieve their goals. Drake enjoys spending his free time playing sports, being outdoors, and hanging out with friends.

Bobbi Rucker, DPT, Staff Physical Therapist

Bobbi graduated from the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program at West Virginia University in 2018. She joined Lakeside Physical Therapy shortly after graduation. She began working under the mentorship of Kari Calvert, PT, MPT providing early intervention physical therapy services through the WV Birth to Three program. Pediatrics has always been Bobbi’s passion. She loves having the opportunity to work with and help the children and families of WV. During her free time, Bobbi enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and her German Shepherd pup, Opie!

Lauren Coil, Massage Therapist

Lauren has been a licensed massage therapist for 14 years. She currently works here, as well as owning a local mobile massage business. She has specialized education in prenatal myofascial release, sports, and assisted stretching massage techniques. Outside of massage, she loves to sing and play guitar, read, and travel.

Leah Stern, Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)

Leah attended WVU, where she completed a Bachelor of Exercise and Master of Health Science Degree. She graduated from Pierpont, where she obtained her physical therapy assistant degree. Leah’s favorite part of working at Lakeside is watching individuals improve, and getting to know everyone. In her spare time she loves to travel, read, and hang out with her friends.
